Looking Back on August

Over the last month you’ve probably noticed we’ve been bringing you some slightly different posts here on the Realmac Blog. We’re keen to share our knowledge with the wider community, and the posts you’ve seen so far are just the beginning.

As August comes to a close, here’s a round up of what the team have been writing about this month:

  • With OS X Mountain Lion now upon us, we shared with you our OS X Mountain Lion First Impressions, highlighting the features that we are enjoying most and exposed some lesser-known gems that you may find useful.

  • Losing or having your iOS device stolen is something nobody wants to experience, and James gave some excellent tips on how to Keep your device secure and ways to trace your device if the need ever arises.

  • If a designer deals in pixels, an engineer deals in text - a lot of text! Ted gave us a tutorial in Text Services with some invaluable tricks to easily automate text editing tasks.

  • With Retina screens now making their way to the desktop, designers have some interesting challenges in designing for the new screens! Chris shared some secrets about Designing for Retina.

As always, we’d love your feedback on the posts - and if you’ve got any requests for things that we write about, just give us a shout on Twitter or leave a comment below!
